I've been thinking of some different ways to enhance my vocals. I really hate that I have been having issues with the latency in Live. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Also I found this article on enhancing vocals in Live.
You could experiment with using different effects besides pitch shifting and delay. Although you could also experiment with shifting the pitch of your pitch shifter with something like a mod wheel or some slider (fader) as opposed to specific pitches on vocoder keyboard. Those Arca examples that I posted a month or so ago have some really good examples of that.
Another idea could be messing with a thick/wet chorus plugin that will make the voice sound all shaky & wobbly. That might obscure the words to the point where you can't understand them, but it could work as a cool effect in some instances. I'm thinking something along the lines of the song "#1" by Animal Collective.
I'll let you know if I come up with anything else.
