This is a song that I took off my Soundcloud and I think it represents me fairly well.  When making this remix, the only thing I started with was the vocal stems.  The rest of the. music I composed and produced.   I really like combining acoustic and electronic elements in my tracks and I definitely do that in this one.

This is one of my favorite videos. I love the piano guys mainly because I play the cello and the piano but also because of their use of technology with their work.  I think this video is amazing cause they use 100 tracks to create the video. It's also not just playing the instruments traditionally, they use interesting techniques to get cool sounds from both the piano and the cello.  I think doing something live like this would be awesome (because I have an electric cello and a loop pedal).

  1. I like the group instrumentation in that live performance. I think the incorporation of electric cello (especially in combination with a loop pedal) could provide a lot of room for technological manipulation and experimentation

  2. I really like the track you posted. I think the use of filters and ducking in this one doesn't sound super produced and is still impactful. I'd love to see you break out the electric cello and do something like the piano guys.

  3. These are great! I love how piano and cello/electric cello blend together, and I think there is a lot of room for alternate uses of both instruments that work really well together.

  4. I love the instruments you chose to compliment the vocal stems, the mix caters to her voice really well. You used a lot of interesting feels for the beat, it was super easy to listen to.

  5. I've always been a proponent of using acoustic/electro-acoustic instruments in a non-traditional way, as they did a little bit in the Piano Guys video. From my experience with the bass guitar, I know specifically that you can get some really cool sounds out of bass-type instruments like the cello with some signal processing.

  6. These are both terrific. The Piano Guys video I think is a brilliant example of how something can be fun, playful and serious at the same time. And how excellent musicianship can be merged with intelligent inventiveness to produce original works. Also a testament to how enduring Michael Jackson's music is and will continue to be.
