Nick Warren; Week 7

As I was listening to Gibby, Heather, and Connor's work-in-progress, my mind kind of immediately jumped to the first track of Eno's Ambient 1. It uses piano in a very similar way, and, even though it is using a vibraphone, it does contain textures that are similar to what Connor and Gibby were each doing. I don't know if you all took inspiration from Eno or this piece directly, but it seemed to have called upon his work in a really beautiful way.





I was looking around for nature-based time lapse videos while I was listening to the Eno track, just to get a better sense of how this ambience would affect the mood of a video similar to the one you had said is in the works. Switch between the music in this video and the Eno piece behind the video, and you'll see how it drastically changes the mood of the video.
