Blog Week 1

I write music somewhere in between classical and popular music, pretty tonal and tuneful most of the time. One of the pieces I'm most proud of though is actually a bit of a deviation from that. It's a series-based composition on the Bb harmonic series. This piece, from the musical "Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812" uses electronics and traditional instruments blended together in a really cool seamless sound combination and this sort of thing is something I'm really really interested in as a composer.

  1. Your own composition is very beautiful, it seems like it could be an in-between instrumental track on the Gorillaz album Plastic Beach while also reminding me of a classical ballet score. I find this combo very interesting!
