By Friday (tomorrow!) night at 11:59pm:
Post at least one video/audio recording that responds to the theme "Protest Music," broadly considered, i.e., performance that in itself takes what you would consider to be an activist stance on one or more issues. Write a few sentences to provide context / explanation of the activist stance of the piece, and explain why it resonates with you.
Between Saturday and the start of class next Tuesday:
Read/watch/listen to everyone else's posts. Make at least one comment on each. Comments should go beyond a gut impression of 'like' / 'dislike', and should instead be 'constructive', for example:
* Describe how the piece is / is not effective in advocating for the artist's position. What specific features / qualities make it so?
* Describe how the piece does / doesn't resonate with your own experiences of the theme.
* Point to other pieces that it reminds you of, and say why.
