Blog Week 1

Sorry for the delayed post!

This first video is part of an instrument I built for PAT 452. I chose it because I spent many hours in the workshop for that project, and this was the first time my sensors and lights came together and did something intentional! It reminds me to keep working through the tough times because of the fulfilling moments like this.

This second video is fascinating to me. I mainly like it because of the rhythms and how clean everything is. It is also cool in the collaborative sense because the marching quads player (very western) added himself on top of the original video, and despite the dramatic differences in instruments and style, the piece remains very clean.

  1. Really cool lighting effect in your first video! I have seen some other really neat percussion videos that infuse drums on top of another video. Have you seen the drummer who plays a groove overtop of a scene from It's Always Sunny in Philly? Really cool
