Here is a demo of my song “One of an Other” that I believe is representative of my recent musical interests: spoken word, lyrics about the body, experimental singing, narrative, and improvisation. The song is about a woman who tries to spite death by sprouting new body as she is dying, a body that is attached to and dependent on her for its survival. This way, she can’t be disposed of; she is kept alive by this body’s need for her. The photo on soundcloud is by one of my favorite visual artists, Daehyun Kim, whose work has inspired the narratives of several of my works. The guitarist is from an experimental improvisation trio I'm in, Glitter Glam.

Sidsel Endreson is one of my favorite vocalists and I am fascinated by her collaborations with electronic musicians. Below is her collaboration with one of my favorite electronic musicians, Jan Bang. Although her voice is being processed in this video, she makes full use of her natural voice to mimic and become tightly woven with the electronics: alien timbres, erratic dynamic swells, glitchy gestures and syllables.
