This is a recording of a piece I performed last semester, Pilgrim Soul for bassoon and two cellos. This arrangement was done by the composer herself after she wrote it originally for English horn and two violins. This is the world premiere performance of this arrangement. I love playing new music, especially music which has never been performed or recorded because it gives me more ownership over the music. Working with Augusta Read Thomas was a dream and this project was immensely rewarding.

This is a brief excerpt form a performance by this super hip electro-acoustic improv group form the Netherlands. They commissioned composers to write brief compositions which they then use as inspiration for their improvisations. The electronics are cool. The bassoonist is incredible. I would love to perform something like this.
